THE MORNING AFTER: A Holiday Special 2008 December 24

What's this!? A comic update?? It's a Christmas miracle!
I actually had something else planned for this, probably funnier too, but I figured if I'm gonna come back in Christmas Eve I might as well make a Holiday comic. So here it is, my present to all of you in Jesus' birthday!

I'm not too fond of the Mario gag, because the whole mushroom thing's gotten old pretty fast, but I'm somehow glad I've put my own spin to it. It's essentially a gag about how drug gags aren't funny anymore. Totally.
About Sonic, all I have to say is: What the HELL is Chip supposed to be? He looks like a cross between a bat, a rabbit and a dog. With little pixie wings thrown in.
And for god's sake guys, don't go pointing out to me that Navi wasn't in Wind Waker. Link is just in his pajamas. Those are totally pajamas.
So why does Dedede even care about Kirby's present? He probably gave him a bomb, but since Kirby ate it the effect is nullified now... which is good because the penguin was having a guilt trip once he found out that the puffball had bought him a brand new hammer.
Eh. Nothing to say on Donkey Kong.
You know, drawing a character clenching at their chest has always been quite difficult to me, but I'm happy with the results on Snake. And don't go asking me why he sleeps with the Solid Eye on, I dunno either.
I apologize for the boxer-clad muscle-bound bishounen in the fourth-to-last panel, but this IS Dante. Also the first time I drew him, if you couldn't tell. And yes, it's a Phoenix Wright t-shirt!
Also the first time I drew GTA IV's Niko. I don't really know anything about that game other than that you have a cousin who calls you every five minutes to invite you for a game of bowling. What is this game about after all?
MEGAMAAAAN. You guys better not lynch me for this; it's everyone else's opinion too. And I'm aware that as a WiiWare/PSN/XBLA game, Megaman 9 shouldn't have a box, but I needed something tangible for him to hold.
The last panel, of course, is a reference to the Big Brain Academy comic from 2007. And I actually own a pajama like that (well, sans the hat).

So screw being politically correct; Merry Christmas and a happy new year. If it bothers you that much, wish really hard and maybe "Christmas" in that sentence will magically change to Hanukah or Kwanza or whatever it is you celebrate. See you around!
